Our current service

We help homeowners in Swansea, Llanelli, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend seek suitable local contractors for planned plumbing, electrical, building and gas engineering work. We use your brief to seek relevant businesses and check interest and availability. We do not promise a match, quote, contractor response or appointment. An email enquiry does not book a visit or require you to buy anything.

We review messages in the evenings Monday to Friday and aim to reply within two working days. This is not an emergency service. Do not wait for our response if urgent action is needed.

How introductions will work

When a suitable business is available, we will discuss the proposed introduction with you before sharing identifying details. The homeowner chooses whether to engage the business and agrees its price, scope, dates, cancellation arrangements and payment directly. We are an introduction service, not the contractor carrying out the work. We do not collect job deposits or payments for trade work.

Fees

Homeowner matching is intended to be free. Participating tradespeople would pay us an introduction fee. Our proposed initial pilot price is £25 per accepted qualified introduction, subject to a separate written agreement that defines qualification, applicable tax, fee triggers, payment terms and credits. Expressing interest does not accept a paid service or create a subscription.

Checks and representations

We do not currently claim a vetted network. Before making an introduction, we ask the business for identity, relevant qualifications, insurance and references. The exact checks performed will be described accurately. Customers should satisfy themselves that the chosen business is suitable and appropriately qualified for the specific job. For gas work, the business and attending engineer must hold the appropriate Gas Safe registration for the particular work. Electrical qualifications and registration are checked as relevant to the work. We do not carry out trade work ourselves.

Changes, questions and complaints

Please email hello@localtradelinkwales.co.uk with questions, changes or concerns about an introduction. Complaints about the work should also be raised with the contractor. Nothing in this information excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be excluded.
